Digital Arts and Entertainment (DAE) at Howest University offers a state-of-the-art, yet accessible, English-taught Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design and 3D Animation. It prepares you for a career in the video games and film industry, either as a game developer or a professional 3D Artist. During your DAE study you will acquire future-proof skills, enabling you to create stunning graphics, characters and worlds. DAE alumni can be found working for world-renowned companies and studios like Blizzard, Bungie, Ubisoft, Rocksteady, Larian, ILM, DNeg or Guerrilla Games.
If you’re creative, ambitious and passionate about creating 2D or 3D worlds that don’t yet exist, this is the programme for you. We’ll take you through the production process of a 3D animation film. From visual storytelling on a storyboard, to the development of a 2D animatic and 3D block-out, through to the final scene. You’ll be the puppet master: making virtual creatures jump, run, fly and talk. You’ll even make them fall in love.
